The new stadium has a retractable roof allowing it to not only host Major League Baseball games, but also stadium concert tours and other major sporting events year-round. The distance from home plate straight back to the wall of the Field Suites is 42 feet, which honors Jackie Robinson’s #42. In addition, there will be a distance marker in left field at 334 feet from home plate to recognize Nolan Ryan’s #34.
